Up to which temperatures can suction take place ? The temperature of the suctioned product should not exceed 60°C and burning residues should not be in the suctioned product. |
Is foam sucking possible ? A foam limiter should be used when strongly foaming suction products must be suctioned. |
What must be done if static charges develop ? In this case it is recommended (required) to use antistatic accessories. The IS series is prepared for this issue. The HS / GS series only in certain designs. Back fitting is possible. |
How does the antistatic discharge work ? a) Discharge through protective earthing (with hose No. 41 24 12) b) Discharge through installed discharge resistors (with accessory No. 04 04 00) |
What is the maximum hose length that can still be used for suction ? We recommend the use of hoses up to max. 10m |
Is the use of two or more hoses possible ? The use of 2 hose is possible by using a Y-piece. Hose with HG connection = possible Hose with bayonet connection = not possible* *Back fitting with hose connection No. 42 15 3 |
Which suction device for which dust ? Please refer to decision guidance Program overview Suction device or here |
What does antistatic preparation mean and how do I convert a prepared suction device into a real antistatic suction device ? a) Discharge of the charges through internal connection with the protection ground for equipment with electrical outlet b) Discharge through installed discharge resistors for equipment without electrical outlet |
Are commercially available antistatic hoses suitable or do I need special pipes and nozzles ? a) An antistatic hose No. 41 24 12 is normally adequate b) Use AS accessories No. 04 04 00 |
What are the special features that the special suction devices offer ? The special Starmix suction devices are suitable to suction problem dust. By using PE disposal bags, an alarm horn as additional acoustic warning, a motor fan with increased suction performance, lockable hose connection adapters at the container, an installed diffuser. |
Can oil, base, acid, toner, mildew, asbestos be suctioned off ? Suctioning oil off is normally possible (exceptions are very aggressive oils). Suctioning bases off is normally possible without problems (experience values). Suctioning acids off is not possible. Suctioning toner off is normally possible without problems, however, it should only be performed with devices that include a polyester filter (experience values). Suctioning mildew off is possible. However, the special "H" suction devices must be used for this purpose. When in doubt, please contact the government safety organization for improved suction devices. In addition, adherence to the manufacturer's information is required ! Adherence to existing regulations is required ! |
Is a hose extension possible ? System 35 – Extension with rigid hose connection possible System 35 – Extension with revolvable hose connection not possible (planned) System 49 – Extension possible |
How can I replace broken bayonet- or hose connections or how can I upgrade my existing hose with the new connection parts ? Please follow the assembly instruction |

Vacuum cleaner - Filter
Which filter goes with which vacuum cleaner? Purpose Filters |
Which filter material is used for folded filters ? Cellulose (yellowish color) 99.8% dust retention capability - for normal use Polyester (white color) 99.9 % dust retention capability - for commercial use Nano (white color) 99.8 % dust retention capability - for increased dust absorption HEPA (white color) 99.995 % dust retention capability - for special applications |
What is the service life of the folded filters ? The folded filters are permanent filters. The service life depends on the application conditions and the handling. The service life can be several months. |
Which filter sizes are available ? Folded filter size HS / GS / AS – 3600 cm² qualified for all container sizes. Folded filter size HS / GS / AS – 7200 cm² qualified for container sizes 30L and more. Folded filter IS – 2 x 4300 cm² |
Is a folded filter exchange (filter material) possible ? The use of cellulose filters instead of polyester filters / HEPA filters or vice versa is possible - under consideration of the design of the device. (Adherence to regulations about possibly regulated filter qualities is required) |
Which filter material is used for paper filter bags ? Standard filter bags certified in accordance with BIA M - special filter paper Wet filter bag certified in accordance with BIA L - plastic fleece + cellulose |
Which devices are available with pre-filters ? Available for HS / GS / AS Not available for IS |
Which filter belongs to which device ? Polyester filter = IS ARD / HS A / HS AR / GS AR Cellulose = GS 10 / GS 12 / AS |
How can I identify which filter belongs to which device ? Filter area 3600 cm² = HS A / HS AR / GS 10 / GS 12 Filter area 7200 cm² = HS AR 16 / GS ..45 / GS ..55 Filter area 4300 cm² = IS ARD |
Which filter can be used for wet suctions ? Pre-filter FST/FSP/FV – no Paper filter FB – no Foam filter FSS – yes Wet filter bag NFB - yes Wet filter bag FSN - yes Folded filter – yes * *if suction takes place with folded filters, the residual water - if present - in the folded filter must be emptied through the disassembly of the folded filter after the container has been emptied. We recommend the use of 2 folded filters = 1 for wet and one for dry suction in case there is s frequent change between wet and dry suction. |

Vacuum cleaner - electronic
What is the power (Watt) that the automatic starter IS/HS/GS can absorb ? 1,000 Watt motor fan: Current consumption = app. 5.0 A, electrical outlet (EA) = app. 11.0 A / 2,500 Watt 1,200 Watt motor fan: Current consumption motor fan = app. 5.5 A Electrical outlet (EA) = app. 10.5 A / 2,400 Watt 1,400 Watt motor fan: Current consumption motor fan = app. 6.5 A Electrical outlet (EA) = app. 9.5 A / 2,200 Watt The main fuse of 16 A normally limits the power at the electrical outlet because the motor power is determined by the respective option. |

Vacuum cleaner - motor fan
What does single stage / dual stage motor fan mean ? Single stage motor fan 1,000 Watt: Equipped with one flexible fan wheel. Dual stage motor fan 1,200 Watt/1,400Watt: Equipped with two flexible fan wheels. |
Is the motor fan suitable for continuous operation ? The motor fan (bypass motor fan) can be used for continuous operation. The carbon contact service life is on average app. 1,000 h (the electronics provide a smooth startup and coasting time for the motor fan) |
Why is the air output (volume flow) higher for a 1000 Watt motor than for a 1200 Watt motor ? The 1000 Watt motor fan has only one flexible fan wheel. The 1200/1400 Watt motor fan has 2 flexible fan wheels through which the suctioned air must flow. This results in a higher friction resistance. |
